The Kindergarteners have continued to work in topic clubs, reading and gathering information from their non-fiction books. This week they focused on what the animal they are studying eats and where the animal they are studying lives. They recorded their findings on sticky notes and then used the sticky notes to guide their work during writing workshop. The collaborative reading and research they are doing supports and shapes their detailed and informative writing and drawing.
Megan has invited the children to engage in more conversation, making writing workshop an extra busy and rich time. The scientists have been using their club members as valuable resources and supports. On Tuesday they shared their work with their science partners, ensuring that children are not only working in topic clubs, but also with different science partners!
