Welcome back to our distance learning!
We met for a Monday Meeting and share on zoom.
Share a story or something you did during April break...
Ivy- I played house with my calico critters. I have a bunny family.
Lucas- Lots of building with legos.
Bryan- I played Monopoly and did flips in my yard.
Solveig- We went for hikes and saw snakes. We have seeds for the garden!
Caleb- My dad and I went for a walk. He walked and I rode my bike!
Zoey- We have been making gardens. We saw snakes!
Myra- We went for a walk on the road and in the field.
Ira- We made banana bread with chocolate chips.
Savannah- My dad and I went four wheeling, we went fast!
Richard- We went hiking a lot and I made a plan for getting a bulldozer. Not a dream, a plan.
Layla- I saw my cousins.
Owen- I have been playing with my lego top and biking on two wheels!
Brennan- We went for a treasure hunt. Let me share my treasures with you.
Sebby- I have been playing with my lego Star Wars characters.
Continuing our share from (a little) before and during our break. . .
During break Sebby and his family investigated different rock formations in Grand Isle County. They learned about rocks, minerals, and fossils. If you would like more information, you can reach out to Marcus, our local scientist.
Richard and Rhett checked on the Wiggle Room. Everything was looking great and it was a wonderful break from routine. Let us play!
Caleb and Whitney ended their last day before break with their feet up and drinking pretend coffee. I think this is what Friday afternoon looks like for most of us.
Owen finished his lego math before break. Look at the equations he built with objects! This work further supports the thinking he is doing this week on solving story problems. Did you read his name in our first story problem? Owen the mathematician and lego expert!
4-27-20
Bryan, Brennan and Ira share their math work. We started by warming up with our counting forward from different numbers and quickly recognizing some combinations within 10. Then we used objects to help solve an addition story problem.
Monday was a cozy day for reading and baking!
