A picture Caleb drew of us holding hands!
Community Connections
Many of us were able to connect for a meeting/movement break this morning. We will be having a dance party at 10:00 on Friday, because Fridays are the day we have a dance greeting during our morning meeting. You will find an invite to a zoom dance party in the daily communication and plans for Friday, 3-27-20.
Thank you families for joining today. We will continue to find ways to laugh, move, and learn together. It was an incredible joy to be with the children this morning!
Driving tractors and baking treats- being home is full of adventures!

Literacy
Continuing our Writing Like a Scientist Unit using our observational skills, detailed pictures, and labels to give information about one topic.
Avid Readers use extra strength powers and their literacy goals to help guide their work as readers.

Bryan highlights and records all of the beginning blends he found!

Ira took on the blends challenge, too!
Math
We are continuing to use our knowledge of number combinations to build and decompose numbers. The children have been building on their ten frames and writing equations to match.
Trying to remember how we check if a number is odd or even? Richard shared with his mom that if you build an odd number on your ten frame, not every cube has a partner. Remember, for even numbers every cube will have a partner and for odd numbers there is always a left over!
Nora worked on math problems with her lizard!

Science
Scientists use their sense of smell to observe and learn more about their world. Alice explores and smells her habitat. Thyme smells yummy!
