Writing

What does your topic eat?

Richard uses his turtle's food containers to help him write labels. He is a problem solver in the classroom and at home.

Myra shares two of her pages with information about where Clover, her cat, lives and what Clover eats.

Ira explores Fun Facts in non-fiction!

Math

Last week the Kindergarteners solved squirrel story problems.

Sidney loves watching and chasing the squirrels in our yard. There were 8 squirrels in Sidney's yard. Oh no! She chased 4 up a tree. How many squirrels are left? Use pictures and numbers to show your thinking.

Today is the 30th day of March. Collect 30 things outside (or inside!) using your 10 frame or 100's chart to help.

Layla, Zoey, Ira and Brennan share their collections. Notice how they organized their collections, used tools to help, and recorded how many!

  1. Wow! Look at everything you have been up to while at home! It looks like so much fun. I can see Richard finding ch in his paper books. Sebby and Myra look like they have found really cozy reading spots. Brennan has so many buttons-maybe he could make a Pete the Cat drawing!
    I miss you all!
    Love,
    Megan
