Community Connections

How are you feeling today?

I'm feeling inspired by the Dragon Den Rules!

Math and Science

On Monday children and families were invited to collect 30 things for the 30th Day of March.

Solveig collected 30 things in nature. She drew pictures and wrote labels for her collection. This one experience connected essential math, science, and literacy concepts.

Brennan used tallies to show amounts. We can show or record how many using tally marks. We can use tallies to make groups of 5. This helps us keep our counting organized when working with larger numbers.

Caleb shared how he used his materials from Monday to build a structure today! He added lego people as additional detail. He used tallies to record how many materials.

Bryan created with his collection of 30 rocks!

Lucas shared his collection of natural materials and his work building with unifix cubes.

Savannah with her collection and her collection represented with tallies!

Ira and Richard worked on their counting and cardinality skills in different ways. Recording how many using tally marks and showing how many using rocks.

Reading

Avid Kindergarten Readers found and recorded sight words!

Writing

The writers worked on the last page of their non-fiction book today; fun facts about their topic!
